My first teaching experience ©bsntnirola

After my PG , I came back to my own home town & took the admission on B. Ed course.  Now I’m a b.ed. trainee & doing practice teaching in a high school as the part of my course. Now , I’m moving to share my first day at the school with “unforgettable”  experiences as  ‘a teacher’.  I think of that I laugh but believe me that day I was far from laughing ! I remember how well I prepared for my lesson, a good plan, an interesting topic. I walked into the classroom, where almost 40 students of  the class ten were waiting for their new teacher with great interest.  Entering  the classroom they all stood up & greeted me by saying “good morning sir” but I was shocked & surprised. Because I could not calculate what they were saying on  that moment & I felt terrible.  But very quickly I understood the “terrible happening” . And,  I  also greeted  them & tried to look serious. Then, everybody were staring at me, I believe that they were trying to guess what kind of teacher I was- a good or a strict one ??

I started  asking typical questions, what’s your name , how old are you , etc.  And everybody eager to answer. I walked to the blackboard & wrote my name on it. Suddenly everyone burst out laughing. I turned around not understanding what exactly happened ! After that, controlling the class, presenting well explained content. Similarly,  I don’t know the cause of that laughs till today.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post & I’ll be back with more posts with all the teaching experiences. Stay tuned & also visit basantanirola.blogpost.com for more posts. Thank you once again !!
